Guide for Authors

Scope and Objectives

The Journal of Nanomagnetism is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research on fundamental and applied aspects of magnetism at the nanoscale. The journal covers interdisciplinary research spanning condensed matter physics, nanophysics, materials science, nanochemistry, nanotechnology, biomedical applications, magnetic nanomaterials, spintronics, electromagnetic materials, and related engineering and life-science applications. Submissions are welcome from researchers worldwide.

Types of Articles

JNM publishes the following manuscript categories:

  • Research Article: Reports of novel experimental or theoretical research.

  • Review Article: Comprehensive and critical reviews of recent advances (authors are encouraged to consult the Editor-in-Chief before submission).

  • Letter: Concise reports of significant findings.

Author Fees

Journal of Nanomagnetism is a 100% free-of-charge open-access journal.
There are no submission fees or article processing charges (APCs) for authors, and all published articles are freely accessible to readers.

Manuscript Preparation

  • Manuscripts must be written in English and prepared using Microsoft Word (*.doc or *.docx).

  • Double spacing is required throughout the manuscript.

  • Authors are strongly advised to use spell-check and grammar-check tools before submission.

  • The journal manuscript template must be used (available on the journal website).

Length Guidelines

  • Experimental Research Articles: Maximum of 16 double-spaced pages, up to 8 figures and tables.

  • Theoretical Articles: Maximum of 20 pages, up to 10 figures and tables.

  • Letters: Limited to 4 printed journal pages (approximately 1800–2500 words), including figures, tables, and references.

Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:

  1. Title

  2. Authors and Affiliations

  3. Abstract (150–250 words)

  4. Keywords (3–6 keywords)

  5. Main Text

    • Introduction

    • Experimental / Methods

    • Results and Discussion

  6. Conclusions

  7. Mandatory Statements (Data Availability, Conflicts of Interest, Authors’ Contributions, Funding, respectively)

  8. Acknowledgments (if applicable)

  9. Appendix (if applicable)

  10. References

Titles should be concise and informative.

Figures and Tables

  • Figures must be submitted as EPS, JPG, or TIFF files with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.

  • All figures and tables should be cited sequentially in the text.

Reference Style

JNM uses a numbered referencing system.

  • In-text citation: References should be indicated by numbers in square brackets, e.g., [2,5].

  • Reference list: References must be numbered in the order of appearance.
